- Details: This is such a lovely old vase, these girls with the long lashes were very popular in the 1940's and early 50's and we can see why. Her very long lashes, the little dot mouth and soft pastel colors make her pretty special. She wears a yellow dress and hat with a great big blue bow in the center, finished with a high shine glaze. There are no maker's marks on this one but looking at the base, we believe she may be American Bisque Pottery due to the unique large wedge shapes on the bottom. Or maybe even FAPCo (Fredericksburg). Many attribute her to Shawnee Pottery but based on research we believe the Shawnee Southern Bell is standing by a wishing well. There is no drainage hole so perfect used as a vase or even a plater for a small plant. Great gift for an American pottery collector! Would look lovely as an accent / decor piece in your home or covered patio, or even a little girl's room!
